I think it can vary. I think I remember in one of Willkie’s virtual events for this cycle, which was with Gemma and a trainee, Gemma mentioned that the trainee had been called by the partner an hour after their interview with a VS offer. At the Willkie open evening, a different trainee had said to me that they got a call from Gemma a few days later. It could be different this year though. They might wait till interviews have all finished and select people in one go. Has anyone who has already done their interview heard back at all yet? 🙂🥲​

The interviewers told me during mine that everyone would hear back before the end of next week with either an offer or some feedback.

I’m a semi-recent postgraduate currently working as a paralegal and I am considering applying to Stephenson Harwood. Would it be better to apply for the placement scheme or apply to the direct tc?

I appreciate that the placement scheme may be more competitive, but I also know it’s the firm’s first-choice pool. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @onedayj - I try to meet all interviewees before their interview (sometimes my schedule makes this difficult) and I do tell everyone in person that they should hear from us in the next week (meaning five working days post-interview) - sometimes there is a delay. The very latest interviewees will hear from us is Monday 10 March.

Guys, what are your thoughts on this? (Not trying to stir things up here, I genuinely want to hear thoughts from everyone with a current or future stake in these firms so please keep it friendly hehe)

Given the examples used, the seniors may be correct in some ways.

The flip side is juniors are paid far too high meaning that targets and expectations need to meet that billable hour/billing 3x salary minimum

This question may have been asked before, but how best do you go about structuring an answer to the question “introduce yourself/tell us about yourself” in an interview?

OK, writing this because I need some advice. I received PW interview which I'm doing on Monday. I've had so much other work and I've barely prepared for it. If I got it, it would already clash with another VS that I have. I feel like pulling out of the process. I know that sounds really silly but it's just so much work and I wonder whether it's worth it. Could someone advise me on what to do?

Also, one of my top choices is CRS and I haven't heard back from them at all, so if I get a PFO I will kick myself for not having done the PW interview, but at the same time I now only have two days to prepare.

Firstly congratulations! I would suggest you give the interview a shot so you don’t have any regrets later . I think two days may be enough time to prepare and you’ve got this!
