Assuming it hasn't changed from last year, timed. Otherwise, general advice of making sure you are clear in your motivations for law and know the firm. Sorry if that doesn't help much. If it's of any help, no one likes VIs. My best recommendation is to try not to panic, even if things go a little sideways or you get a curve ball of a question.
Thank you!

Am I the only one who’s a bit worried that DLA Piper hasn’t gotten back yet, even after successfully passing the WG? I’ve seen a few people get a response already, so I’m starting to worry… is it still early days, or should I be expecting a PFO?

Goodwin, Cooley, Skadden: Non-rolling, they're not reviewing app yet except for Open Days
SH, WFW: Will ask them on the Open Day! Typically they're Non-rolling.

Wait. You mean the Mishcon VI question isn't an actual assessed question? In the sense that it's not motivational or competency based? I recall them saying something about it along the lines of "it's just a question about you", but it wasn't clear if it was a question about you such as why do you want to train at Mishcon or if it was something that actually doesn't require preparation in advance.
Yes, there is no need to substantially prepare for the question, in those terms. But I would have a good reason and a case study or two in mind, either way, just for confidence and awareness.

It wasn't a difficult question, and I believe it was only 60 seconds - not much time for anything substantial, anyway!

    Maybe I'm prepping too much!

But I would generally look up a firm's clients and find at least two or three recent cases that are interesting and memorable, so that I could talk about them without notes. Sometimes the cases are what bring the firm onto my radar in the first place, which is always easier!
