What are people's thoughts on using prior experiences in strengths-based interviews? Like, if you get asked a 'what would you do' scenario, is it best to just say what you would do and explain your thought process or should you also use examples of similar situations you've dealt with in the past?
Strange question, but I'm wondering if there's a general trend as to many years after PQE does one actually become an equity partner? Are most of them over 40?
'tell us a bit about yourself' 250 words. I'm unsure how to approach this, does the firm want me adopt a competency-style answer and be like 'I am commercially aware because xyz' or do they want me to talk about my personal interests?
I have 3 2:2s and I've gotten past plenty of paper sift for of 5 of the 7 firms I applied for, it's really not a big deal if you can clearly express your motivation and competency for the position.
When someone from graduate recruitment addresses you 'hi (first name)' and signs off the email with their first name, does this mean that I am also welcome to call them by their first name or should I just stick with Dear Mr/Ms?
