The fact that you got that far with LL is amazing!! I was in a similar boat last year, being rejected from A&O post-AC. Don't let it get you down, just take your feedback and move forward :)
Yes, as @Chris Brown said, those talks are really helpful.

The way I get around it is by doing more, usually. If I get a rejection then I try to send off another app the same week so I know I have another one out there, and that normally makes me feel better.
I found it harder this cycle than the last two. After a rejection from a firm I did an AC with...
They kind of answered directly? Just said they were working on it and that sometimes it's simply that the trainees themselves want to move on, and that they know applicants look at these statistics so are aware of it. So, they did answer but tried to keep it a bit vague 🤣
Honestly, don't stress it. In the three cycles of apps I've done so far, I've had 4 ACs and have now obtained 3 VS' (one in first cycle, two in this one) and none of them were with firms I attended an Open Day for.
Instead, I use Legal Cheek, Chambers Student Guide, Legal500 and the firm's...
I haven’t had to answer this specifically but one similar, and I talked about technology and AI. Unoriginal, perhaps, but I was successful because I answered it well.
There’s lots to talk about there, including improving infrastructure to prepare for new technology, AI policy, Kier Starmer...
People's applications with Linklaters are on 66% or 77%. Some people think this correlates with whether you get through or not, but I have seen someone who was on 66% get through so really it's just guess work.
Those who have got the Vac Scheme with HFW (congrats btw!!), could you let me know how long it took them to get back to you and around what time they called you?
I did mine on Tuesday and I’m very anxious about it :)
Me too! I'm so sorry. Can I ask how you guys feel about the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking? Obvs that was a small part of the SJT, and I've struggled with it historically. I'm hoping that it wasn't the reason why I was rejected as I've been practising it a lot, but if it's something we all...
My camera was actually activated for my A&O one but I had only just got a new computer so didn't realise, and I did it in my dressing gown and PJs and got to AC that year 🤣 So, no, you'll be fine in normal clothes!
