Ultimately I feel as though, you usually get people who’ve passed that stage telling people the questions. At the end of day, we are all trying to get a training contract.. anything helps.. if anyone is willing to tell others the questions it’s not a bad thing I feel. It’s akin to you networking...
But it’s still no reason to at least not get a reply. I met their head of recruitment but I don’t know if it’ll be a reach to ask when we can expect to hear back. I asked someone from another firm & they pretty much aired my message on LinkedIn.
I think because they get their main candidates from the Aspiring solicitors comm awareness competition & they’re the best firm there, it can be super competitive to get a place on the vac scheme.
This is so weird I wasn’t asked in it this way.. I was asked about any law or case that I disagreed with.. which made me think they wanted something specific. So my mind went blank and I ended up bringing up a human rights decision. Weird weird. I couldn’t read their faces
i Had a really weird question for me because I was not expecting it. It was if I had any case or statute that I disagreed with. I was like wth.. and I ended up talking about a human rights case.. haha.. really odd.. but asides from that it was really conversational
Interesting about white & Case have given some replies and not given some replies. Some of these are irrelevant from when you applied. I applied in December but how come I’ve seen them reply people that applied in November & January that’s so odd
Still waiting on white & Case, Weil & Sidley Austin. All applied around a similar time with Weil & Sidley both between dec 3-8 and White & Case 16th. Should I assume a rejection cause it’s pretty long now haha
