Has anyone heard positively from AS about the Harbottle & Lewis TC interview? I’m not sure if I’m being ghosted or they just haven’t responded to everyone!
I spoke with someone who said it was a live video interview (as opposed to a prerecorded one) last year.
The email is weirdly drafted. I read it again and I have just realised that I don’t meet their requirements - I will not have completed my LPC by September 2021. So that’s another awkward...
Sorry! I got distracted and just saw this now. They’re not difficult but I found them very time pressured. There’s a lot to check, especially as Georgina said when numbers are involved, and there’s barely enough time.
How did you find them?
Was the Fox Williams error checking test really time pressured or is that just me? I think I wasn’t able to answer two questions before the timer ran out. :(
I agree that using a personal example can be incredibly tricky and definitely would require you to read the room quite carefully. Some personal examples work quite well - like recovering after an accident or illness or bereavement (or more regular ones like a bad grade) - and others are so...
I’m quoting myself because that’s how cool I am but I think the one advantage might be that the application form is shorter than the actual TC form that the firm requires you to complete. Unless, of course, the remaining questions are asked later in the process.
I mean I had a mock interview with them which was immensely helpful. What I don’t know is what, if any, benefit is there to applying for a TC through them. Do you get your application reviewed? Coaching? Is it guaranteed interview? All their page says is “Aspiring Solicitors will be...
I have seen mixed reviews about applying for TC or VS through Aspiring Solicitors. Can anyone tell me what the advantage might be? Their deadline for a TC is literally this week (while the firm’s is in a month) so I’m going to have to bust my ass and I don’t know if it’s worth rushing an...
I asked GR. They are rolling. They tend to do them in two waves: one in March / April and the other in July. But I don’t think the first wave has begun?
Ugh there should be a rule requiring firms to let applicants know within 48 hours after an AC. It’s been a week and I’m legit losing hair 😬
(I know there are good reasons for the time lag; this is just me moaning!)
