Go on the practice tests they send through. It is not a Watson Glaser.
SST is just a normal SST. You just rank the choices in order of what you would do/how you would feel. Not really much to practice for that. Just think how the firm expects their trainees to act.
Clifford Chance do the same. It is equally annoying when you pass the written stage and then fail at the WG. They should have the WG open to everyone to start with and then you submit your written app after passing it.
Interesting. I applied on the 3rd of December. At the Open Day, they said they review them as they come in but no decisions made till after the deadline. Surname is E so hopefully shouldn't have to wait too long haha if they are doing it by that method.
SSTs aren't really something you can prepare for. Just be sure to have a look at the competencies and what the firm expects of trainees and think to yourself how they would want you to act in certain situations. Also, remember to be consistent with your approach.
I think this question also gives you the scope to show good commercial awareness and your understanding of the role that is specific to that practice area/sector.
