Not wanting to start another debate but I was wondering how much age matters in applying for US law firms with a small intake. Talking to trainees at these firms, the vast majority of them were in their early-mid twenties and graduates. I was wondering what chances I had as a much younger...
@axelbeugre @Jessica Booker a couple of us on the forum did an AC with W&C last week and they said they would be in touch by the end of last week or early this week and so far only one person has heard back with an offer and no one else has heard either with an offer or rejection. Is this a bad...
@axelbeugre @Jessica Booker is it okay to email the senior associate and the member of grad rec that interviewed me to thank them for their time? Or would you prefer only grad rec?
Yeah I think when W&C mean they review on a rolling basis they truly mean they will consider every application even up to the day of the deadline. I submitted my app on deadline day which was 14th jan, received a VI two weeks later and an AC invite two weeks after that :)
I doubt spring is filled because I interviewed for the spring position on Monday. Also for summer W&C, the first round of ACs were conducted after mine so I believe no offers have actually gone out.
@Jessica Booker @axelbeugre ahead of my assessment centre tomorrow I just wanted to know some ways to build a rapport with the interviewers. The interview will be conducted online with one associate and one member of Grad recruitment and I’m just worried how I can build that rapport in an online...
currently stressing for my white and case interview on Monday. Does anyone have any advice on common reasons why applicants get rejected from the assessment centre? I was just wondering what to avoid. (Apart from naming all US firms as competitors 😂)
But by this logic every firm is competing with every other firm. Of course there is some truth to that because law firms are a business with similar services but if Samsung launches a mid range phone they aren’t trying to compete with the flagship offering of Apple. Each firm has their own USP...
@axelbeugre @Jessica Booker when receiving an email for an interview they told me I would be asked commercial questions. However, I am not too sure what exactly this might entail apart from competitors to the firm and current issues that law firms are facing. What other commercial questions...
Does anyone have any tips for the W&C Ac? It’s my first one ever and I’m not sure how to go about the written exercise or what to expect. Thanks so much! @axelbeugre @Jessica Booker
