For the GDL, you generally don’t need to be in London. It’s not a bespoke course, so if their course provider has different locations, I strongly suspect you’d be able to do it at any of the locations.
It would only be of the firm has a very bespoke conversion course that you might be limited...
The webinars have already started, as well as the 1-2-1 calls, which are available now to book into. The first webinar is recorded and available on the courses platform if you were unable to attend.
The vacation scheme exercises will be available from last April.
If the provider has different locations, they tend to not worry about where you do it. I have known with some firms that maintenance grants to be slightly lower if you are not going to be based in London though, so that may be something to check with the firm at the offer stage/before you accept.
When does the scheme start?
It’s really hard to say specifically what they will need as this can vary from firm to firm but generally transcripts, right to work, and proof of address (bank statement/utility bill) are the common documents needed.
Apologies for any confusion on this (that is my fault), the Accelerator is only for Gold subscribers due to the bespoke 1-2-1 advice provided as part of the programme (which is in addition to the 1-2-1 calls and application reviews generally included in Gold).
No - this would not be seen as a red flag as it is expected that people change jobs. It would only be if there were lots of changes (e.g. lots of short stints in various roles in a matter of months) that firms would be curious as to why you had changed jobs so often. This is because they are...
Unfortunately no one will be able to answer this apart from the firm.
Every assessment will be important but sometimes competencies are assessed across assessments. For instance, team working can be assessed in a group exercise and at interview. It maybe that a lower group exercise score for...
Not selfish at all - it’s a standard request to ask for a direct TC process when declining a VS place. The firm will be used to having this question posed to them and will have a fairly standard process/policy on how they will respond to the request.
From what you have said, I sense they are probably waiting for you to confirm in writing you are declining the vacation scheme offer. Unfortunately saying this over the phone isn't sufficient - they will need something in writing from you first and I suspect then they will reference the direct...
I don't know the specifics of the firm unfortunately.
However, I would always ensure your application form is updated in suitable ways to ensure there is evidence of the things you have done and achieved since your last application, or demonstrate how you have continued to refine your...
You are not going to seem rude unless your tone and language is such. The firm advertises it offers this support, so it is reasonable for you to enquire as to whether accommodation would be possible. Explain the route - the walk, the train and then travelling in central London. Even if the firm...
They will call back when they have time - that might be the same day or the next day (or even later in the week if they are busy). If they are concerned about getting through to someone, they usually email. For instance, I'd often email the candidate just to say I had tried to call them and can...
A four hour commute each day is quite long - I don't think many firms would be expecting someone to commute for that long unless they were happy to do so (some people will because they just want to stay home). I'd say 90 minutes or less is reasonable but anything beyond this (and calculated door...
