    I would assume so! I got VI in December, PFO on 4 February, so if you never got the VI I don't see how you could be in the running now.

    Employers 100% check LinkedIn, I get many hits there. Logically they are going to also check twitter, facebook, tiktok, instagram, to a greater or lesser extent, and if you've got something off-colour there, then I'd expect it to cost you jobs.

    email. I did AC the week of 13th January, WGT following week, then they said they'd email "successful" candidates the following week, so depending on when you did your AC, anything over a couple of full weeks gone by is likely to be a PFO I'd say.

    not sure if you are aware, but a partner visa takes typically 12 weeks to process, plus your partner will need to either meet the income + work requirements or have a pile of untouched cash, so from the firm's perspective this is really rather uncertain.

    I think the point is that these things benefit the firm, e.g., collaborative can help get better quality work for clients, nice place to work can mean clients can build relationships with the same lawyers over decades, instead of the firm focusing on poaching other people's talent.
