    This is an excellent response! I agree that it would be unlikely for the question 'Do you know what deals we are currently working on?' to come up, but it is definitely still good to know about some deals so that you can bring them up of your own accord :)

    Not less competitive - sometimes the numbers say more competitive, but I guess it depends what you're stronger at! I was good at interviews and bad at vac schemes... but I have a TC to show for it nonetheless :)

    Personally I would not worry too much about facing these questions, although the interviewers could ask you them in theory - I don't see why they would be considered inappropriate. I think it is unlikely you will get asked them but if you know the answers then it sounds like you are prepared...
