Interview Clashes
Your gut is right - ask the second firm if they can reschedule your AC. Hard to say the likelihood, but there's no harm in asking first and then reassessing your options after. You don't really want to go for an interview during a vacation scheme, it does happen, but you want to avoid it unless...- Jaysen

I wouldn't say it was easy. I knew it was a risk (and everyone else pointed out that risk) and it could have turned out badly. It helped that it was my first scheme and I was fairly new to the process, so I felt if I put more work in, I could go through the cycle again and secure other schemes...- Jaysen

Hearing Back from Law Firms, Assessment Centres & Interview Tips - 2019 - 2020
Yes, I did that for my first offer with a mid-sized law firm. It was post-vacation scheme and, at the time, I didn't have other interviews/schemes. My reasoning was that if I could get one scheme, I could probably get more, and I felt I'd be settling if I didn't at least try for other firms.- Jaysen

Yep - anyone can research facts about a firm; I think going out of your way to meet them helps to demonstrate a genuine interest. I'd just check that any events are fairly early on in the application window (I imagine they will be).- Jaysen

I don't know for sure, but I believe that section is just used for marketing purposes (so firms know where candidates are hearing about them). I wouldn't worry too much either way!- Jaysen

LLB for Graduates Student- need advice ASAP!!
Yes, I'd definitely still apply to vacation schemes. For some firms, that's going to be your only way in and it will also boost your CV for future training contract applications. I don't know what your grades/the rest of your experiences are like, but I suggest re-evaluating your applications...- Jaysen

Hi Zain, We don't actually have a checklist for this at the moment. I'm about to begin working on some new case studies though, so I may do a checklist on this in the near future.
