But whatever it is, I would make sure the story focuses on the legal outcomes rather than a news story more broadly.
It will be considered, alongside any other module. But I don’t see this being an issue if you other module grades are consistent and a solid/strong 2.1 or above
No harm in asking at the point you are offered - the worst that will happen is that they say no and you a have to decide whether to accept the earlier start date.
Sounds like you need to persevere if you are just missing out, and work on your confidence. It sounds like you have got the skills/knowledge needed, it’s just about getting them across in a confident and clear way.
I wouldn’t go regionally just because of a perception of it being less competitive - this is not always true (it really depends on the location). But you may find better work life balance in firms that do more domestic work rather than international work.
You are not going backwards though - you are still getting assessment centres/interview invites, and to me this is a positive outcome, especially if you secured six. It just sounds like you need to work on any feedback areas you have been advised of from these recruitment processes.
You can still qualify via the LPC as you are eligible, but you may find many firms have or are moving to the SQE route of qualifying for their trainee intakes, and so you’d need to potentially take SQE2 anyway if firms are only taking on trainees via the SQE route.
Your profile sounds great - I wouldn’t worry too much about it in all honesty.
You’ll just need to ensure you have a good “why law in the U.K.” answer rather than Germany or another jurisdiction.
Postgraduate degrees don’t really have much weight for the vast majority of firms, so most would not see it as a step down (even if you could suggest it was one). Queen Mary and Manchester are very comparable on multiple levels, but particularly how recruiters will view them - they have some key...
Our community is quite U.K. based and although we advise on locations like Hong Kong, Dubai and Singapore, we don’t really have the community of people looking for roles in Canada.
It may be better to reach out to lawyers at these firms via LinkedIn to get their views on how they have found...
You really need to speak to you firm about this, and at the earliest opportunity. It would have been better to explain this to them at the point you knew you needed to defer exams.
The one you think is best for you based on your circumstances and interests, as well as what you have learnt about the roles through the recruitment process for them.
