Exit interviews tend to be for the firm not for the recruitment process. An exit interview typically means you are giving feedback on your experience so they can try to improve future schemes. They will be different to TC conversion interviews.
Because of this exit interviews typically will...
Application questions like this can afford to be a little more to the point than how you might write a more personal piece or prose.
You have 500 words to get in several aspects, and so in most instances I think you can’t really afford too much fluff into it. It’s important to make sure you...
It will depend on the individual weighting of each module - usually you will get a certain number of credits for each individual module, so you will have to factor that in and then the weighting of your second and third year. Your transcript should provide some guidance on this weighting though...
Hi there
Having looked at HFW’s services, although some could be classified as niche there are many that will link to broader/mainstream stories. They also have lots of “core” practice areas like corporate, finance and litigation.
I would recommend having a look at this page and then having a...
If a firm has told you to do it, then I would always do so. It’s better to take any guidance on this from the horse’s mouth, rather than someone else’s opinion.
I would stress I talk to most people through TCLA who feel like you do. It is very normal!
The process can seem daunting but that is why we are here to help and to provide you with support.
There are plenty of firms (including MC firms) who have no A-level criteria and I have recruited enough...
Yes - very similar questions but to me the difference is really finding a true passion topic/subject rather than something you are just interested in, and because of that you definitely have to show how you have explored the passion in the answer.
It sounds like you are at an early stage of pursuing this career. Give yourself time to learn, there is ultimately no rush to achieve your goal and you have plenty of time to learn about the recruitment process and develop your experience.
You have come to the right place though - our community...
You don’t need to link it to the legal sector or Goodwin explicitly in your answer (as the question is not asking you to do this), but depending on what the topic is then if the key stakeholders include the legal sector or more specifically Goodwin, then obviously you can do so. It’s just the...
I’ll be frank about this - not a lot of effort needs to be put into the statement. You just really need to explain where you hope your career will go by completing the course and that will be sufficient. It isn’t a competitive course to get on to if you can pay for it and if you have a 2.2 or above.
Have you received any grades for mock papers or anything similar so far? If so, use them as a reference point.
If not, then I wouldn’t worry about it too much and just either say you don’t have any predicted grades or ask your personal tutor (although I’d expect them to say just put down a...
I think this risks being seen as trying to fit in motivational aspects to your application rather than truly picking a topic that interests you.
The question has absolutely no link to why you are applying for the firm. The only way I could see this working is if you have done lots of research...
From experience this can happen a lot. All it take is for someone to contact them with an emergency/something important at the time they need to call you and the call doesn’t go ahead.
I would email them and ask if you can reschedule.
