This is probably the likely scenario. It might be they have finished sending out interview invites for the time being and now will start sending out PFO’s to mostly everyone remaining. They could have a number of ‘reserve’ candidates that they can offer interviews to if those doing interviews at...
That’s actually impressive tbh. I was struggling to get past 800 words lmao. 😂
I think my split was around 125 for why commercial law, 375 for why White & Case and then 250 for why me (750 words in total). 🥲
The remaining 50-75 words were for short introductory and concluding sentences e.g...
From what I’ve seen on the forum, Ashurst have done all their AC’s. Some people have received VS offers and some are still waiting to hear back the outcome post AC. If you haven’t heard back from Ashurst post app, they will be sending their PFO’s out on the 28th (pushed back from the 14th). I’m...
It could be possible that more than 1 person on the forum has heard back but only 1 person posted about it? It might also depend on when they had their AC. If they had their AC earlier in the timeline of AC’s, they will probably have heard back sooner from Freshfields. Best of luck for the DTC...
These are the dates on their website about AC and VS. I think people that got AC invites first (sent out yesterday) will probably be doing the first or second date out of the options below:
I read somewhere recently that the BRICS nations are good options because they have a lot of potential for economic growth. However, I think some firms are looking at Singapore as an alternative to China (ongoing political tensions). I’m not sure if these are 100% correct though. 🥲🥲
Jheeze this is the kind of problem I aspire to have someday. Bro is too GOATed frfr! 🐐
Multiple VS offers so having to withdraw from some. I would class that as a uno reverse PFO. 😂
I think they just state that the max is 1,000 words. I’m sure it was the same for the VS application. My cover letter for the VS was like 800 words and I got past the application stage, so I think anything between 700-850 words is fine. It needs to be concise and structured into three parts: why...
Finally after almost 6 weeks of waiting Travers Smith PFO. For reference, I applied very close to the deadline I think maybe 1-2 days before. 🥲
I almost missed it entirely because it was hidden amongst a bunch of TCLA notifications lmao. It got sent at around 5pm today. 🥲
This might sound like a stupid question, but if an application asks for references, what exactly are they looking for?
I am almost finished with my Paul Hastings SVS application and it asks for two references, but I don’t know what that means lmao. This is one of the perks of a first...
I think a brief introduction and conclusion would be good but they should be like 50 words each at most so that the bulk of the content is addressing the question (assuming this is for Stephenson Harwood). 🙂
Has anyone heard back from Travers Smith at all over the past few days? The waiting is acc driving me insane man ngl. If it’s a PFO I just want them to put me out my misery asap. 😂
They’ll also use the classic law firm “we received an unprecedented number of applications and as a result, we are unable to provide specific feedback on your application…” 🥲🥲
This could be an option but then some firms don’t want their future trainees to work while studying the sqe so it becomes a problem with that aspect as well. Also, it could prevent or reduce the chances of that person passing the sqe exams first time if they need to work part time while...
How would this work for people who perhaps can’t take out student finance or loans due to religious or cultural reasons? Would a firm be able to provide that person with additional financial support or would that future trainee be stranded? 🥲
