I would say that it is important for you to let them know now so that you can understand which one to do or what steps to take. Further down the line might be too late in my opinion as the competition is high so they might just accept you not joining the firm for the vacation scheme without...
I personally am not familiar with the semantic distinction between these two terms. I would say that they are used interchangeably most of the time. I think that the former indicates the laws governing businesses and the relevant stakeholders in them whereas the latter actually analyses law...
I think it would be totally fine to talk about IP as I personally think it is really relevant to life sciences anyway. Having a training contract from a tech firm like Goodwin, I was exposed in my vacation scheme to what they do in IP, and a lot of the deals they work on are life sciences...
Unfortunately this cannot be done on the forum but you can access the premium version of TCLA and submit your application for review through that if need be!
You already have your offer and as soon as it has been communicated to you, it is binding so I would not worry. If you want more offers then definitely keep applying, but if you already know that this is your first option, I would just celebrate and let other opportunities for people who are...
It really is difficult to tell but I am sure it went better than you think. There have been assessment centres I have done last year which I thought went horribly and I ended up getting the offer in the end so I really would recommend not thinking about it. What you might consider bad, might not...
I personally would wait until next week and then I would email if I were you. It is strange that they have not heard back but they are probably very busy so I would not worry too much about this and reach out only if they do not contact you next week.
I am someone who does not take minutes of an answer into account, as long as I feel like I am not boring the interviewer, I think that the interview went well. So, in my opinion, there is no set time to follow that would determine a good answer from not a good answer, it is something you gauge...
They are using tools to see if people used the software or not so I personally would not use it since you are not sure who checks what. I am sure it is fine for most firms but I have heard that some firms are checking whether people used it or not so being careful is key.
I personally do not think it is going to be that big of a deal and they might not even notice it. I made mistakes like this too last year and it was totally fine.
It depends, some people hear after a week or two. Last year I heard the day after, it really depends. I would just say to hold on tight and they will get back to you very soon.
On the firm's website it says 31st January so I would consider that as the deadline: https://www.shoosmiths.com/careers/emerging-talent/placement ; https://www.shoosmiths.com/careers/emerging-talent/apply-now
I linked two parts of the website that confirms that.
Unfortunately we cannot share the actual questions (and I genuinely do not remember) but they were all motivational if I remember correctly so prepare answers around your motivations for law and the firm.
Additionally, there are some posts on TCLA from me and Erin that might be helpful in...
Congratulations for obtaining the video interview, this is an amazing news!
there are some posts on TCLA from me and Erin that might be helpful, I will include some links here...
I am genuinely sorry for how you feel and I totally understand that this rejection has been painful for you. Unfortunately this happens often and I want you to remember that it has nothing to do with who you are or your skills, abilities and strengths.
I think it is important to remember that...
You might want to contact graduate recruitment and see if they received the application or not. It might be that they have not received it or they are still going through the applications received.
