If you like a firm for a particular practice area, would it a mistake to mention it's "Band 2 ranking" on Chambers? A Band 2 is still obviously great but wondered if they'd think why you don't apply for a firm that has a Band 1 in that particular area?
I know the deadline is 23:59pm tonight, so if they're still accepting written applications up to that point, I imagine you have a few days after the deadline to complete the behavioural assessment. I think someone mentioned having 3 days elsewhere, but don't quote me on that.
What's the general approach towards shortening firm's names in applications? For instance, would it be fine to put "one reason I would choose to train at Latham & Watkins (Latham)" and then refer to the firm as "Latham" throughout? Or is it preferable to stick with the full name of the firm, as...
Was about to sit HSF's SJT and was wondering if anyone had a link to their core values please? Perhaps @axelbeugre may have them? I've found "human, bold and outstanding" on their website, so are those just the three they have?
First off, congratulations on your A&O VS and offer; it’s a phenomenal achievement that you should be very proud of.
However, similar to @Untilwinter, I think you’ve missed the point of the post you were replying to. I don’t think anyone on here believes they deserve a spot more than someone...
Thing I’m wondering about is for people who received invites, they said the only date options were the 12th and 13th December.
Unless they’re running further dates down the line, they’re not going to give an invite with a day’s notice, right?
Wait, Latham have a SJT/VI combination? I thought it was simply a SJT and then if you pass that + the application, then you go onto their video interview with 5 questions?
I know it comes across as bitter, but sometimes I don't understand the process, which is what makes it even more frustrating. At this stage, as long as you've passed the WG benchmark, how are they separating people other than your work experience, academics, and extracurriculars? I just don't...
Just out of curiosity, with the CC rejection/acceptance, does the Watson Glaser score come into account or is it just about passing the benchmark? Say if you just scraped the benchmark, they'll consider you, but it may still count against you if people had better scores say? Or was it just based...
That's exactly it! We're all sat here on TCLA going crazy while refreshing our emails, and they could easily put us out of our misery by sending an automated PFO with one click 🤣 I mean, I know the fact I haven't heard anything means it's inevitably a PFO, but we're all going to continue to hold...
I think more than anything, the frustrating thing is being left in the dark. CC said they would reply today and many have heard nothing, and A&O said they would let people know this week and again, nothing.
If it's a PFO, I'd rather just be alerted as opposed to holding onto that tiny slimmer...
