Thank you that's helpful, the way I understood it (because the question covers a lot) is that I would explain how to apply my transferable skills to concrete situations but it's clearly not possible as I'm not a trainee, your approach makes more sense!
Hi all,
I'm currently working on an application and I'm struggling with a specific part of the question. I need to explain the transferable skills I have, how I demonstrated them and how I will apply them as a trainee solicitor. I am fine with the first two parts but I'm not sure how to do...
It's the Pinsent Masons one: "Describe your greatest non-academic achievement of the last two years and why this achievement is important to you. (max 4000 characters including spaces) (500 words)"!
Good luck as well :)
Hi @Jessica Booker, I'm working on the same application as @lawnoodle and was wondering if I could use an example from a big project I worked on as part of my job as they only specify it has to be "non-academic"?
Many thanks,
Marie
Hi Melissa, feel free to send me a private message I'd be happy to help, I work as a paralegal with the CS and have recently done the Success Profile training :)

Hi all, has anyone applied to Howard Kennedy? From their website it sounds like they go straight from the written application to the AC, is that correct or are they other stages?
Many thanks,
Marie
I debating asking them to withdraw my application and reapply through the direct TC route as I don't even know if they're holding a vac scheme at this point
Just done my VI! As it was my first recorded VI, I'm so grateful for the support in this forum in really makes the experience less daunting! For those who haven't done it yet, it's really easy to navigate and there's no time limit between the questions so no stress!
April will be long until...
Hey,
Their deadline is 18.04.21 for direct TC, I sent my application a week ago and they said they were gonna get in touch after the deadline. So I think it's not on a rolling basis.
Hey, well done! How did it go? I have to be "that" person but were the questions the ones mentioned in this thread or were you surprised by anything they asked?
Many thanks,
Marie
Congrats! I hope it went well (usually they solve the crime when there's one of those boards!)! I received an invite to the written exercise one week after doing my VI so it should be fairly quick if you're successful.
Fingers crossed!
Marie
Hi all,
I received an email from Bevan Brittan about 2/3 weeks ago saying they were reviewing the applications and would get back to me soon. Has anyone heard anything since then?
Many thanks,
I enjoyed it, but now I'm overthinking it haha! I liked the fact no prior knowledge was necessary and that you could really be yourself when writing the answer!
