Heyy @Elizabeth123 you’re welcome 💛. I don’t really have advice on coming to the UK from Nigeria but maybe look at firms that have offices and good standing in Nigeria/West Africa. For example, HSF Kramer has a top tier emerging markets team, and DLA Piper has an office in Nigeria (Lagos). Also...
Hi Elizabeth, I am also an international student from Nigeria. The advice I would give is dependent on your current situation. If you just graduated from a UK university, then try getting a graduate visa which will allow you to work full time without any restrictions. This will give you the...
Thanks. They just got back to me and I was waitlisted for the Bristol Office. What are the chances that I'll come off the waitlist? Because I don't think people decline vac scheme offers especially since this one is in Sept so it's not clashing with others

I spoke to someone from HR at the firm, and she said that you'll still have to apply for a TC after the vacation scheme. I think it's because the application is quite straightforward.
Currently doing my Reed Smith VI. I live close to the train tracks and decided to do the VI at night for peace and quiet. As soon as I hit record, a train passed by! 😭😭
Reed Smith VI!! After I had given up hope. Thank God. Does anyone have any tips, particularly for the types of questions they ask in the VI (motivational, competency, strength)? For reference I applied on the deadline morning (6th Jan).
I have an interview coming up with Farrer & Co, and this is what they told me they will be testing: "In this interview, we will delve a bit more deeply into your motivations to pursue a career in law, which areas of law interest you, your understanding of the role of a solicitor, and your wider...
