Realistically, it depends on the firm. Firms that have an automatic SPAG check will probably reject you. However, if the sentence is grammatically correct without the "a," you'd probably be fine. Some firms dont do a spag check at all!- Bread

I imagine that in cases where it’s SJT + VI, the VI carries more weight in determining the outcome of an application (unless the SJT scores are quite low, which these are not)- Bread
