These same firms will bombard you with emails about their disability and neurodiversity affinity networks and commitment to diversity…
I feel like it’s all just very performative ngl. Some firms are genuine and supportive about adjustments though like Willkie and Macfarlanes.
Icel that’s actually disgusting. Did they accept that you had emailed for adjustments and that they had failed to respond? Surely they should have been able to give at least a one day extension with the adjustments in place?
I’m sorry you had to go through all of that. It’s a joke in my...
Has anyone heard back from Travers Smith at all about the SVS? I feel like it’s been a while from the application deadline. 🥲🥲
Based on last year’s forum for WVS and SVS it seemed they were getting back to people a few weeks after the final deadline.
I have very similar scores and tbh I think most of us also haven’t gotten rly high scores on the test so I hope the benchmark for the test isn’t high.
They will look at our applications and online test scores together so if the application is very strong I think they will factor that in. 🙂
Bakers Direct TC is until April and SH Direct TC route is till June or July I believe. 🙂
King and Spalding Direct TC and SH SVS deadlines are in February. 🙂
I think there is a deadlines list on TCLA for both VS and Direct TC.
I think you passed the SJT and they have now read your application and invited you to take the WGT.
By test score, I think they are referring to the WGT test result and not the SJT. Best of luck for Freshfields TC!
Definitely a rumour. Firms set deadlines for a reason. As long as you apply before the deadline you will be okay. I am also looking to apply to SH by mid Feb.
Of course firms like BCLP, Bird & Bird and DLA Piper do take rolling recruitment more seriously but most ‘rolling’ firms will consider...
I think Paul, Weiss are going to review all of our written applications alongside SJT to determine who moves to the AC. That’s what the email says which has the test results. 🙂
If you have a strong written application I would definitely say not to worry at all! Best of luck for Paul, Weiss!
Just finished the Paul, Weiss test and I don’t know what to make of my results lmao.
I scored in the middle for applied verbal and very high for applied numerical (idk how that happened I'm awful at maths). 💀
My scores for the pillar things are as follows: grit (7/9), applied intellect (5/9)...
I don’t think anyone will know what the SJT benchmark is because we are all doing the test for the first time. I imagine Paul, Weiss don’t even have a fixed benchmark determined yet. I hope it isn’t too high though. 🥲🥲
If each pillar is scored out of 9 and there is 4 pillars, the total is out...
It depends on how many people have taken the test and when they took it. Majority of us heard back last Thurs and Fri and have until at least tomorrow or Wednesday to complete the test. 🙂🙂
The deadline was the 19th and we all heard back by the 31st. Assuming Paul, Weiss take around the same...
I’m not sure if anyone rly knows yet whether they have passed or failed the SJT and been invited to the virtual AC. I imagine Paul, Weiss will review applications again alongside test scores and shortlist those that have been successful for the virtual AC. 🙂🙂
Yeah 100% it’s definitely worth it. I have now passed the application stage for White & Case and didn’t go to their open day. 🙂🙂
I went to several of their virtual events and completed multiple forage internships. I guess the most important thing is to demonstrate your interest in the firm...
