Does Winston and strawn only give out 2 TC offers???? That’s mad!!!
Also unpopular opinion but I really really suck at Watson Glaser and i literally prefer amberjack over them😭 any tips please?
Good that you have photos, you can explain your situation to grad rec and maybe send them those anyways if they’re being too adamant, I don’t think they’ll mind as you’re trying your best to prove your results :) also just mention in the email and you’re happy to order them but it may take some...
Hi, did you by any chance scan them in or maybe your parents took a picture or something of the certificates for A levels and for GCSE how did u prove it for uni, try the same thing? (Im prolly being silly because you would’ve already checked haha)
I am an international so I remember emailing...
Yes absolutely, a lot of people who do non law degrees get a tc either directly if they have work experience (in some cases even without) or via VS.
Fun fact- the team I sat in, most associates did non law degrees at uni (mostly lit or history)!
Even if you look at trainees at a firm generally...
Good luck to you too!!
I got an email on the 17th March.
I also applied first week feb and gave the assessment on 8th Feb so I’m assuming you’ll hear back soon (vac scheme, unsure about DTC) :)
I understand your concern! To be honest, if it’s not too bold like bold stripes on a suit or the brand name printed across the whole briefcase and if its just a small logo or/and the brand name written in a small font size, you would be absolutely fine :) (I believe it would also look smart, use...
Hi, for SJT - the same amber jack assessment like other firms. The pillars are different - client, firm, people - marked out of 10 each! Keep the firms core values of the firm and skills needed in a trainee in mind and answer accordingly. Be yourself and you will be fine :)
For written ques (2...
I would suggest find something unique, which the interviewer will remember and feel impressed by. Getting a first is a big achievement ofc but I believe a lot of people get it.
For example - i always say getting a global excellence scholarship at university for the full duration of my course...
I agree with you, I’m Hindu and we are only supposed to wear white on funerals according to our faith :)
I also agree and have seen a lot of partners and associates wearing black suits and carrying them so smarty. I have also seen trainees wear them and it looked smart. It’s about personal...
Speaking from my experience (I did a legal placement in my third year so it may be a bit different as i had to go to office for a year), wear a blazer on your first two days and then see how others are dressed. I wore formals on my first day and then switched to semi formal (satin shirt and...
Just gave the Browne Jacobson telephone interview! :)
Think it went alright🤞🏻
For anyone waiting, my interviewer said that their ac is on 23rd April and they’re gonna get back to applicants on the week commencing 7 April (post TI)! (This is for vac scheme I’m not sure about DTC).
Congratulations! Was this invite for a telephone/zoom interview? I thought that the final stage was the vi and the ac would be conducted on the scheme for tc?
I am still waiting to hear back post vi :(
This is absolutely amazing and super helpful! Thank you very very much Amma! :)
If a question is asked in relation to what gives BJ an upper hand over competitors, what are the best points to cover that? Should I be looking for usp’s? Should I answer separately for sectors and then for size or...
