I mean this is for their summer internship, its over half a year away. I think people are really jumping the gun on presuming a PFO with that amount of time between now and the scheme. They also don't offer a winter scheme and will have received substantially more applications than other firms...
DLA just sent me an email reconfirming I passed the test and they are working through shortlisting people for AC. If you haven't heard back in a while I don't think its necessarily indicative of a PFO yet.
Could it not be that as the client is entering into a new market, and is perhaps less sure about what/how they will do things, you may need to establish a different sort of rapport than to a client who knows precisely what they want and their issue is more routine?
Something I noticed was that if I was nervous in a VI I'd talk really quickly, but its counterproductive because you blurt everything out 50 seconds in and have nothing left to say.
A structured approach to answering, i.e. having two clear things you address in turn, as well as talking slowly...
I was someone who kept failing firms WG tests and getting filtered out in my first cycle. This cycle I got 37/40 for Linklaters and passed DLA and CC, although idk my exact scores.

There are going to be exceptional candidates who get exceptional results, same as anything. At the end of the day, they can only accept one training contract so beyond bragging rights, it doesn't matter.
Not getting ACs you got previously isn't going backwards. Maybe a different recruiter...
not successful applicants lol. AI is pretty useless in trying to write effective responses that detail your experiences, as you are the only one who knows them. So you just get a pretty generic, and thus bad answer. Also some firms will just have tools that immediately flag the answer as AI written.
