Anyone got any prep tips for Dentons AC? I've heard a bit about prepping finance related stuff but no idea where to start since I don't have any background in it!
Just a word of warning that when I interviewed with them last cycle they did ghost me, if you're unsuccessful you might not end up hearing anything like me
What a weird question of them to ask you!!!! I shouldn't think there would be. Unless you've posted about the VS on LinkedIn or anything there would be no way for them to see you lied.
Has anyone not heard from TW? Assuming a PFO now...
Also, a quick q: do firms actually check when you amend your app? I just got an offer of postgrad study from Oxford (not my undergrad uni) which I would quite obviously like a couple of firms I'm at app stage with to see, but no idea if they...
The associates I had in my interview with them were lovely and it was a very informal chat, so you'll do great i'm sure!! Perhaps get some fresh air if you can, I always get a cup of tea and try to focus on uni work beforehand to take my mind off it :)
I'm hoping it's just something like they accidentally booked too many people on the same day, but it obviously starts to look bad when I think how sped through the process up until the point where I disclosed I needed adjustments. It's incredibly demotivating, especially when I recently had an...
Thank you guys! Ill probably take that advice and stay calm about it, and ill wait to see what they do at the end of the month, since I'm supposing my chances for securing the VS are low considering theyre this flippant about my adjustments (the first time we organised a date GR forgot to call...
Last year I made 7 apps, got one VS, rejected post-app for the other 6. This year I made 8, 2 final stages/1 progressed post-app/2 PFO post app/1 PFO final stages/3 waiting. I think my technique severely improved (and I also found this wonderful community ☺️ )
oh my god this made me laugh so much u don't even know 😂 😂
Yeah - I know at Dechert i would definitely not be practicing land law! But God I hated every aspect of that course so much I was never more relieved to get the 2:1 and wave bye to it, so it would take some serious mental fortitude...
Does anyone else have a non-law job offer that they're seriously considering taking over a TC?? I got on the Fast Stream this year and I absolutely hated my 2nd year uni modules (tort/land especially) so if Dechert doesn't come thru with that £100,000 NQ salary I'm not sure what else could...
Usually rather than focusing on the other offices I tend to draw out specifically what makes me attracted to the one I've applied to. E.g. 'Since office X is the only one that offers practice area Y, I felt it was natural for me to apply there since this is a specialism I'm really interested...
I guess it depends if it's the same firm but I don't see why you'd need to change it totally unless you've received feedback on it with things you need to improve! Your app might be perfect for the new firm you're applying to. But a bit of editing might be good if you're looking for idk grammar...
