A Levels & Equivalent

Would you recommend Christopher Stoakes books?
It as a pretty easy read. I'd recommend getting one of the older editions (they mostly have the same content) as it'll be much, much cheaper. Definitely worth it!- D

Perhaps. I do get the impression that CC is moving away from VS's though as a recruitment tool. They only have one summer VS this with 20 people on it. They seem to be recruiting primarily from SPARK, Direct TC and their new scheme.- D

Yes, I think so. There are now 5 days max (3 classroom, 2 work shadowing in the Winter). This would seemingly explain it. They have backed themselves into an odd position, however, as they are not going to be interviewing until the Winter. This obviously poses a problem for persons who have to...- D

7 minutes a day for a few months really up-skilled my commercial awareness! The beauty of it as well is that you have a lot of time to get to grips with it all :) I also highly recommend Chris Stokes book (as referenced above). Beyond that, I also did some audible books written by Michael...- D

Inspiration!
It's really, really short, so you can get through it easily! I'd use listen to it casually for entertainment rather than anything else. It's nothing like The Big Short etc. Also, it was the inspiration for a drinking game I came up with on a night out recently, if that helps :D- D

In my view, it's just become another PR tactics for firms to look to recruit the "best". To be fair, it has worked. American Firms are seemingly much more prevalent to the average undergraduate applicant nowadays and I imagine this is mostly thanks to the significantly higher salaries they pay...- D
