Hi everyone! What's the best approach to describe open days and other events with law firms under the WE section of app forms? Is it necessary to talk about specific sessions or presentations within the open days or just my key takeaways/how they shaped my career preferences? @Abbie Whitlock...
How many WE entries is "too many" on an open day application? Goodwin doesn't have an additional Q about extracurriculars, so I'm including that under WE too + open days/events experience alongside actual WE.
Hi everyone! I’ve been looking at Paul Weiss and wonder whether they’re extremely selective academics wise - of course as all elite firms I assume they’d want to see at least a strong 2.1 but are they Slaughters-level picky? I really wanna save my time this cycle by not applying to firms that...
Sidley closes in 2 days and it’s rolling - would it be a very bad idea to apply tomorrow and I should rather wait to apply for the spring/summer schemes? Got carried away w other things but would submit a very tailored, high quality app
I think we can still apply if we submit in the few next days - last year, I didn't hear back until 30 October even though I submitted 16 August (deadline was mid September like this year).

For Sidley, Chambers Student mentions that successful candidates need a high 2.1 degree with consistently good grades - does anyone know if they're strict about the high 2.1? or an overall good, tailored application can offset a mid/lower 2.1? I know that it's always worth trying but I'm aiming...
Happy Friday everyone! @Jaysen and others, if a firm asks for PGDL completion on a separate page of their application form, should I still list it as a postgraduate entry under academics? or the latter is more like actual Master's degrees not just the conversion
Do you mean you think got rejected because you applied 7 days after the application window opened? I doubt they’re THAT rolling, I applied last year a week before the deadline and got rejected only 4 weeks later. Could be different this year though.
As a fellow international candidate, my best advice is to connect yourself to London commercial law as much as you can. Attend insight events, open days, law fairs, mentoring schemes etc. because you’ll need to answer the “why commercial solicitor” question on almost every application and that...
