Abbreviate Gibson Dunn as GD

Is it ok to mentioned full name "Gibson Dunn (GD)" for the first time in the application and mention only GD from then on ? or is it considered cheeky ?

I personally wouldn’t - the firm never uses this abbreviation and only refers to itself as it’s full name on its website.
