I was wondering if any of you have some advice on how I should approach this application question:
Discuss a deal that [firm] has advised on. What do you think were the strategic considerations and complexities involved, and how did the firm navigate them?
I’m a bit unsure what they’re really looking for in terms of “strategic considerations”. Should I be framing it primarily from the client’s objectives and commercial goals (e.g. what the client was trying to achieve and how the firm helped them get there), and/or should I also discuss the different teams within the firm that would have collaborated on the matter?
I’m also finding that for most deals there seems to be quite limited public information available. Has anyone found a good way of getting more detail beyond the firm’s press release?
