Hi everyone,

As TC and VS applications open, I have started applying to various firms. Therefore, I want to get all my documents ready in a pile for efficiency purposes.

I would be really grateful to anyone who could assist me by telling me what documents do law firms require prior to accepting you onto their scheme or TC? Will they ask for all of my GCSE and A-Level certificates? Is there anything else I should be aware of, or prepare for?

Thanks!
Ruby

depends on the firm. Typically it is only things that prove you meet the eligibility criteria
- so if a firm has an A-level criteria, then that and your degree transcript.

If a firm asks you to provide your GCSEs or equivalent you may need to provide them too.

Would firms ask the academic reference for the university grades? If there is no transcript to provide yet

possibly - but if you are a first year and haven’t had any formal assessments, they will just go on your A-level or equivalents more so than taking an academic reference (your academic tutor probably isn’t going to be able to provide much of a reference anyway).
