Someone gave me this tip at a firm event that a good way to draft legal advice to a client would be to have an executive summary at the top of an email, particularly if the advice is long. Also, try to avoid legalese in your email, and keep things snappy and concise. Use subheadings to structure your answer as well.

Hi, its for BCLP. In the e-mail they mentioned that we will have a case study/presentation, group negotiation and interview with HR/Associates. They also said they will provide further info about the AC once I confirmed my slot; they have not done so yet but having spoken to others I know its the same for them too.

I saw a user on this forum, who after attending an open day, they mentioned how BCLP will have a markup exercise(previously they had a drafting exercise). Whilst the e-mail doesn't indicate that so far, it may be the case(especially if its under the further info not released yet), so I am just trying to be prepped for everything.

Has anyone heard from Penningtons Manches Cooper recently? I applied in June and saw they’re responding on a rolling basis.

Rejection from DWF for direct TC
They stated they have filled all their places from the vacation scheme and internal recruitment. They have advised that they do recruit predominately from their vacation scheme and I should apply to the next one.

For the last 3 years I have not been able to undertake vacation schemes due to full time employment, the LPC and I have recently just obtained a paralegal role in London so is very unlikely I will be able to undertake one this year again as It leaves such little holiday, So frustrating! Still waiting to hear back from Hill Dickinson, but not feeling hopeful!

It is frustrating because I'm fairly sure that they knew before the deadline that they wouldn't be making offers, given the financial mess that the firm has been in these past few months.

I applied at the start of March and I’ve still not heard back but the confirmation email I received said that they would be in contact after the application deadline ?

I did see on their website that they said they review on a rolling basis though so not sure what’s going on.
