Leveraging multiple tc offers

Wondered whether there is scope for asking one firm to sweeten the deal in light of another firm's offer.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has done this before and what the outcome was.

I think this would depend on what you're asking the firm for. I've asked firms for earlier start dates based on other offers I received and I know some people ask for a guaranteed paralegal position before they start. How successful your request will be really varies though. Sometimes the firm really can't make any extra promises to you individually and will tell you just that. No harm in trying though.

What specifically do you want sweetened?

Anything like salary negotiation will be an absolute no go (don’t even go there!).
