Hi all,

Just thought I would share my experience as I begin my prep course for SQE.

I would have liked to be more prepared but sometimes that is just not realistic. I graduated with my law degree in 2023 and have worked as a paralegal since. Between my training contract offer and starting my prep course with U Law, I suffered with burnout and chronic stress from my job and was diagnosed with ADHD. I occasionally thought, “ if I am finding this position difficult, how will it be when I start my training contract? Is this career right for me?”. I honestly don’t know the answer, but I decided to give it my best shot. Whilst I didn’t have the motivation to revise, I sought support, and put as many things in place as possible to ease my transition before the real studying begins. I feel behind and the weight of the stress of my 1 attempt conditional TC offer on my shoulders every day.

If you haven’t prepared or revised and feel overwhelmed, I hope you realise you are not alone! I will share some tips and tricks I learn along the way and an update half way through the course on progress.

Good luck to everyone sitting these exams, may the odds be in our favours!
