Anyone knows when we’ll hear back from Hogan Lovells post WG test for our direct TC application? I applied on the deadline tho

No, when do you think it is an appropriate time to email? They said they’d hold interviews in March/April

Edit: just had a look at previous threads and in 2022 someone said they got the invite on the first week of April and in 2023 some said they heard back on the 3rd March

They came back to me - I got 85th percentile which I'm happy with for my first WG and shame it wasn't enough for AC but oh well

I imagine that the interviews are more likely to be the end of March than the beginning, grad rec is currently busy with seat changes, new starters and qualifiers. Last year we had less than 2 weeks notice to the AC, and all invites were sent together.

Freshfields pfo post wg yesterday, huff.

Got my WG score back this arvo, 84th percentile which I'm pleased with as it was my first one and I didn't have much time to prep. Do understand why people with higher scores feel put out, seems unfair to screen applications then later decide they aren't strong enough for an AC even with a very high WG score.

Mine was 97th. Why make me take the test if they were going to reject me based off my application (which I thought was quite strong) regardless?

I reckon the first batch of WG tests had applications which were stronger in the eyes of grad rec

But people in the last batch got through to AC too, if that was the case I really don’t get why we’d be invited to take the test at all

They made sure to tell me that applications were considered "holistically" so my written app must have been pretty bad -- but why shortlist me for WG in the first place then lol??

Sorry to ask off the back of a bad situation but how do you know what percentile you get?
