I'm not sure about Linklaters but just to flag that some firms do explicitly say that they take the time into account even if untimed!
Has anyone heard back from HSF (following tests) or Travers?
The fact that you got 2 ACs is amazing in itself! It shows you have what firms are looking for - don't give up and you will most definitely get something
Has anyone done an AC with Covington please any help would be appreciated?
I did it about a week or two ago. Firstly, I would reiterate what Jessica has mentioned: do it at a time where you believe you will have optimum energy and thus focus. The test is quite long (I think the suggested time is 75-90 minutes). Secondly, the first part of the test - basically an SJT test on steroids - is something you cannot practice for and frankly, I believe, something that you shouldn't anyways. That way you give genuine and honest responses because it will have been your first time seeing these types of questions. Regarding the second part of the test, it is a small version of a classic WG test so this is the section of the test that I advise you to practice for, and there are plenty of free sources to do so online (e.g. CC free WG test).
I might be wrong but I think firms like Sidley and Davis Polk (particularly the latter firm) prefer university students (penultimate and final year).
Depends on the firm. For example, I think you can with A&O but not CC.
I've applied as a graduate - check their recruitment brochure. VSs are open to graduates.
Has any1 else heard from covington yet? Do they send all ACs at once followed by pfos?
It is firm dependent. Kennedys for example, you can submit 2 applications, one for each office. Some firms allow you to pick 2 in their online application
I'm just assuming a PFO now. Feels bad haha
based on my search of the last year's vac scheme thread, seems like they release all the ACs once.
It's not a PFO until its a PFO. And if it is you'll be completely fine, you'll move on, and you'll get a VS/TC somewhere else!
