Applied for Bakers summer scheme in OCTOBER wish they would just send the PFO and get it over with 😂

idk why some firms do this. Bakers did it to me with the open day. acepted other people even tho I applied in august then rejected me the day before the open day??? lmfao

Honestly… my tactic of applying at the beginning of deadlines clearly does not work for some firms 😂

does anyone know if Baker mckenzie WG is just a pass then you get progressed onto VI, or is it assessed with your app?

It took quite a while for me to get a VI invite post-WG (around 1.5 weeks), so I presume that it may be assessed again

Skadden said their ACs are at the end of January so probably within the next couple of weeks. My TI is on 11th Jan

it’s a pass and get progressed I believe! as the app is assessed beforehand so only those with apps that pass the recruiter review would be sent the WG (and then those who meet their WG threshold go through to the VI)

ngl i’m getting really nervy about my HSF summer vac scheme… it was the top firm i was gunning for and i’ve seen a lot of PFOs going around… have not received one but have also not gotten an AC invite and i’ve seen some people getting it 😔 could it be because i applied a day before the deadline lol

Skadden will be mid-late January. Akin have sent some responses and will do further into January
