HFW PFO ... was quite happy with my application so a bit disappointed but not too suprised since others had received ACs
Edit: they said we could see general feedback on Linked In?? Surely they could have included it as a PDF in the email? I mean we already apply and did lots of research so if they have prepared geenral feedback they could just include it in the email...

So sad. I've been hearing rumours that some firms won't consider your reapplication after getting through ACs, some firms even state it on the FAQs like Greenberg Traurig, despite in the next cycle, but some truly allow you like MacFarlanes. Maybe HFW is one of firms that gatekeeps it and pretending to be okay.Just got a rejection email from HFW post application even though I got to their AC twice in the past??? May I ask - are you an international candidate ?
Is it reasonable to ask whether any other assessment centre dates are available if the one provided is one day after my compulsory exam in a different country (year abroad) with the exam finishing late in the day? Worried abt travel issues and wondering if i should email and ask if any other dates would potentially be available but ofc accepting the original date if none other are possible
I heard back today and received an AC invite!
I think it would be quite reasonable as travel can be unpredictable especcially if you are abroad. In the worst case they would just say they don't have any other date.

spent so much time on the app, went to events including YMP talks etc

I had a friend in a similar situation who was even given the option of completing the AC virtually in said country or in one of their offices there.
So firms are usually flexible and should understand

I would absolutely reach out to the graduate recruitment team, as this is a very reasonable request! I was in a similar situation last cycle where I had to request different AC dates for my Reed Smith AC as the only available options were during a vacation scheme I was completing - firms are generally very understanding, particularly if you have a genuine reason (i.e. potential travel issues)
Grateful for any advice or tips for the Trowers & Hamlins AC at the London office. This is my first ever AC too.. pretty nervous :/
