I received a TC from my dream firm!! It still feels surreal to say. But thank you to the TCLA forum for supporting and being a great resource throughout- this was my 3rd cycle as an international student. I’ve done 50+ applications across the years so don’t give up because it all it takes is one yes! And what’s meant to be will be!
Huge congratulations - that is fantastic news (and amazing advice!)!! 🥳🥳

just realised that i wrote the incorrect dates for one of my internships on a vac scheme application. i put 2 weeks in august instead of 1 week in july (got it mixed up with something else). does anyone know what i should do? also haven’t signed the offer letter yet

I'd really appreciate any advice!!
Hey!

I can't imagine that this would be a major issue, but I would flag it to the graduate recruitment team just in case. Small errors like this are very common, so I'd just email them and briefly explain that you've noticed the mistake in the dates, clarify the correct ones, and apologise for the confusion :)

Guys ive got a bit of a dilemma. I have an exam on the morning of my AC. For context the exam releases at 10am and is due at 11:30am the same day. Whereas the AC starts at 13:30. The exam is a BPP resit so not crucial imo but I spoke to them and they seem unable to allow me to sit it on a different date. I'm hesitant to reach out to the firm to reschedule the AC because this is a firm I really like and despite the fact that they probably will be willing to accommodate my situation, I also dont want to do a later AC at the risk of potentially missing out on offers. I feel like its doable if I do the exam in the morning and then do the AC at 1pm but I'd appreciate any advice lol
Hello!

This is a very understandable dilemma, and I totally get why you are torn. While it is technically possible to sit the exam in the morning and attend the AC in the afternoon, I'd keep in mind that the assessment might be quite mentally draining, and you want to be focused and composed going into the AC.

Firms are usually very understanding about academic clashes, and I think it is highly unlikely that requesting a reschedule for an exam conflict will be held against you. Additionally, attending a later AC does not usually reduce your chances of an offer - a lot of firms know that there will be strong candidates at the later ACs as well, and many will hold off on making any offers until then.

If this is a firm that you are particularly keen on, it may be worth prioritising performing at your best in the AC. However, if you do decide to do both on the same day, I would perhaps use the time in between the exam and AC to give yourself a short break to reset (rather than trying to cram in any last minute prep) :)
