Just heard from Sidley for Summer! I'm assuming the telephone interview is with HR and if successful there will be an in-person commercial based AC. Anyone got insight on this?

Hi! Yes the telephone interview is with one of the heads of grad recruitment (both are super super nice). If successful, it’s an in person interview with a partner on the trainee recruitment team. Then, if successful, offer!

Same boat for links! I did AC on Wednesday and received call on Thursday.

TI with HR, about 20 mins long.
PI in the office with a partner, mine lasted about 1 hr 10 mins. First half is motivation and competency, second half is article discussion

How many telephone interviews do sidley give out

Idk about telephone interviews but I believe it was 70 partner interviews for the wvs (out of approx 1800). The partner interview comes after the telephone one so I would imagine there are more telephone invites.

What's the normal timeline between a phone offer for VS and an official email? I'm terrified they've phoned the wrong person

Hey!

Congratulations on the VS!! I totally get the nervousness - I felt the same after being offered a VS over the phone last cycle, I managed to convince myself I had hallucinated it (I kept having to check my phone log haha!). As others have mentioned, they should hopefully send across an email within a few working days, but I believe I waited a week or so before receiving the email for mine. It might just be that they have to call all successful applicants before sending out an email, which may take a few days. I'd try not to panic (if possible!)

i think you had to save a version to your PC before sending it off if you wanted to look back on it
