Telephone interview for Browne Jacobson (Manchester office)!! Please if anyone can give any insight or advice, I’d really appreciate it! I’ve never done a TI before eeeek

So it was:

"why law & why Browne jacobson" (as one question)
several competency questions (so prepare a bank of stories about the time you overcame a challenge or whatever)
a commercial awareness question

There's not really a big difference to other types of interview except since you're over the phone you can read your notes more easily than on Teams, or not at all in-person.

Hey, I got email today at 1258PM. I also saw someone else get TI invite on Friday for bham so I’d been waiting for a PFO over the weekend but I guess they do them staggered!

Question about Middle East opportunities (ironic given the current situation): When firms say that Arabic fluency is preferred, is that them basically saying that they really only take Arabic-speaking trainees with no exceptions? I have substantial ties to the region, but I cannot speak a word of Arabic.

not sure if anyone can really help but to anyone with experience in finding accom for vac schemes in London with a (relatively) limited budget: did anyone stay in student accommodation ? Or do people tend to go for Airbnbs etc. it’s for multiple weeks so hotels are getting extremely expensive

look up properties on Airbnb, im not a student so idk if i could still get student accommodation but Airbnbs are quite reasonably priced . im not from london obviously

Helooo I’m staying in student accommodation and I’ve done that before too - relatively cheaper option - mine was half the price of a hotel :>>
