I’m a penultimate year non-law student so I don’t have much choice this year. But for next year, how do you lot choose firms to target?

BristolIs this for the Bristol or Edinburgh office?
Is it just the situational judgement test? I did that oneWhat is the test for RPC? does anyone know, please
It says on the website that it should be no longer than one side of A4, so that indicates that 600-700 is probably the right length?Hi @Jonny_12 as there is a 1,000 word limit, you're good. I understand there is some speculation as to whether that's appropriate, but there is a set limit for a reason. If the firm wanted any less, they would ask for less. Now, although you have 1,000 words, you don't have to use all of them - the trick is to be concise and succinct with your points. If you can the same thing in less words, without compromising on the analysis/detail, then do so - I'm sure it would look very favourable. Good luck!
Ima need everybody to do an AC dance for tomorrow (inbox still silent)

drop the names of the firmsHonestly, I don't think age makes or breaks anything. My friend secured four vacation scheme offers from US law firms last year and he was the youngest one on 2/4 schemes (23 years old)!
I'm a STEM student and chose firms that rank highly in life sciences/IP of that area, but that also have a lot of range so that I can try out different practice areas that aren't associated with my degree at all. However, I knew I definitely wanted a sector focused firm, and with one of those being life sciences. Sorry if that's not helpful! Also, you can normally apply to a bunch of first year schemes (I didn't realise until this year - I'm a final year non-law - but definitely look at first year schemes and open days so you don't have to cram loads into your first semester of final year)I’m a penultimate year non-law student so I don’t have much choice this year. I’ve been getting in my head about this, especially because I had more successes whilst at university with these cycles.i really wish jessica were back sometimes. i think i need a reality check. i'm a very well-educated person with legal and non-legal work experience but i graduated from the gdl last year. am I too old to be applying for vac schemes? i just have a hard time understanding what i'm doing wrong, when seemingly loads of second/third year students are doing everything right. How big of a factor is age?
