YESS, I attended their first-year scheme and was their campus ambassador. From my understanding they are a bit more flexible on A-levels (especially if you have mitigating circumstances), but I would email to confirm if you are still unsure ))

The thing is, I don't have any mitigating circumstances for my A levels. I was just burnt out and didn't perform well because of it. It's just that when I started the application it said that I had to have AAB at a level, but I am projected to get a 2:1.

Also, am I still cooked for Freshfields?

On their website they said they could potentially close applications earlier than a deadline, if they allocate all of the places. They haven't done that yet, therefore you have all the chances!!

Could you ask when their scheme date is? It says TBC here and their website. Is it possible that they will cancel it like previous year?

I went to the open day and they said there’s a VI at the end but your not recorded throughout the whole process. There is a verification video tho but you can turn that off.

Wait. You mean the Mishcon VI question isn't an actual assessed question? In the sense that it's not motivational or competency based? I recall them saying something about it along the lines of "it's just a question about you", but it wasn't clear if it was a question about you such as why do you want to train at Mishcon or if it was something that actually doesn't require preparation in advance.

Hey! I just received an email inviting me to do stage 2 of Latham’s online assessment. It starts “we are pleased to invite you…” but I literally just did stage 1 like 16 hours ago, with the application sent in on Saturday morning. Do we know if stage 2 is just automatic or if it’s somehow selective? Not wanting to seem pedantic, but knowing if I did something right on stage one/on the application can help hone my application strategy going forwards.

The VI is stage 2 which comes with critical thinking questions. The SJT is the first stage and does not have any vi
