No it does not I get extra time and have progressed further firms are happy to add extra time.Wondering if anyone knows whether requesting for adjustments puts you in a disadvantage in any way? Ive always been hesitant to request them but I struggle with the prep time for VIs
Hiya, I have a disability and I’ve requested adjustments for every single stage of applications, including the assessment centre I did. I have a TC offer with A&O Shearman and progressed to AC with CC (which I declined because of my A&O Shearman offer). For VI I requested more prep time and I got about a minute extra with CC. Please if you have a disability request adjustments, you won’t be disadvantaged and those adjustments are there to ensure you have the same opportunity to succeed as everyone else.Wondering if anyone knows whether requesting for adjustments puts you in a disadvantage in any way? How do you usually phrase it when requesting? Do you disclose your disability? or is just "I am requesting extra time" fineNo it does not I get extra time and have progressed further firms are happy to add extra time.
In applications it’ll normally ask you to describe how much time (percentage) and why. I tend to have a standard paragraph detailing said reason (disability/neurodivergence) and how much time extra I require. These may be applied automatically but sometimes it’s good to email to firm or call them to ensure they are applied. How do you usually phrase it when requesting? Mid-tier university so not Oxbridge for sure.
Grades are all A*s for GCSE and A-level.
And then a few thirds for module grades at uni, a few 2:2s and some 2:1s and then some 1sts (what can I say, I like what I like and hate what I hate).
Did you flat out withdraw from CC or did you ask to reschedule?Hiya, I have a disability and I’ve requested adjustments for every single stage of applications, including the assessment centre I did. I haven’t withdrawn yet but I’m going to email on Monday and do so. The earliest start date for CC is more than a year later than the date I’ve been given for A&O Shearman and I’m a 24 y/o masters student so I would like to start the SQE sooner rather than later.Did you flat out withdraw from CC or did you ask to reschedule?
Asking bc im in the same boat.
I can help you but I’m blocked from starting new conversations with people so you’d have to message me for insight. Bro what I life I have on this forum😭Hello can anyone help me with Mayer Brown VI? I can help with FF Stage 2, Macfarlanes Stage 2, Milbank Stage 1, Latham Stage 2 and other firms
I've just completed their application and received the automatic test invite, its a critical thinking test, so similar to WG, no SJT. AG offers you 12 months free to practice on assessment day, but in their email they specify that the only relevant practice section is the critical thinking bit. What is the Addleshaw Goddard test like? is it SJT, WG? Any insights please.
true but GR never seem to take a day off - got my aos pfo first thing on a sat morning!!it's a saturday ahahah so yes![]()
