Hey, a bit confused about Orrick - usually a cover letter would have the structure "why law, why the firm, why me" (in some order). Meanwhile, Orrick's questions are: Cover letter (300 words), Why orrick (300), Why law (300).

Should I focus my (unusually short) cover letter on "why me"?

I also got rejected but my advice was different?? might be like ucas where unis have multiple template rejections for different aspects of the application - mine was about writing style and researching the firm and providing examples of work

Apparently, depending on the stage reached, the feedback varies.
- if you reached 1st stage OA: its about spelling mistakes etc
- if you reached 2nd stage OA: its about your motivations etc
- if you did the OD: its some bs on Forage and work experience

IMO its automated based on which pile you were - not entirely sure tho just witnessing a trend here.

I reached second stage (VI) it was spelling mistakes for me, I think it’s random

I've gone back to check my application.
I wrote "led be back" instead of "led me back".
There were a few things that could have been hyphenated, e.g., "market-leading practice".

IDK if they have a special "you made a typo" PFO message.

I did the stage-two assessment.

I haven't heard anything. Neither have some of my friends who applied way earlier than me. Isn' it weird that one of their schemes run in February tho ? like how will they have the time to get organised?

When did you get this email from them? Was it after the WE or recently ? I should probably reach out to them just in case as I haven’t heard anything since the WE

Could I ask how many questions there are in the Hill Dickinson VI? Also am I right that the time taken to complete the test section doesn't impact the score? And just curious, how long ppl usually spend preparing each VI question in amberjack VIs with unlimited preparation time?
