Hi, are you able to provide any insight into the AC please? Feel free to message me privately!Mills & Reeve AC! Got rejected after AC last year, I must rise from it and smash it this time!
Anyyy chance you’ve heard back from Mishcon yet?So only two days left to hear from Mishcon Spring! Kind of scary!!
omg what? i can’t find this email at all..ah well what can you doi believe they gave the online test as part of the confirmation email iirc
Given you don’t actually have two vacation schemes yet, this is probably a bridge to cross when (if) you come to it. I’d just focus on doing well in the ACDoes anyone have advice for what I can do?
I have accepted a VS but I also have another AC at a different firm. If I Get the other VS they will clash.
Is it possible that I either ask to do only 2 weeks (for the second firm) or ask to move to their Winter scheme?
I don't want to move my other one (the one I have) to spring because of exams.
Alternatively, I could request to move my confirmed VS to early June but I run the risk of clashing with exams. I also don't want to give the firm any reason to think they aren't my top choice so I don't harm my chances of converting to TC.
Is this a good approach or is there something else I can/should do?
Oh woww what a beautiful read!'Future Trainee Solicitor'
'Future nothing'
(delete as appropriate)
I had both of these typed in my phone.
I was waiting to hear back from a law firm after a bumpy Vac Scheme.
It was sort of obvious it hadn't gone well.
But 'future nothing' if you don't get one of a handful of jobs at a law firm?
Well, yes, that's how it seemed at the time.
Not now of course, but back in January 2021, as had been the case for the preceding three years, I hitched my sense of self-worth to a two letter acronym - TC, or Training Contract, if you prefer.
Now those letters have quite a different meaning:
Take control
Tutoring career
Take care
Tailor-made career
Etc etc.
It's easier to 'make it' in life without a Training Contract than you might thin
