Did you receive your "your application is under review" email around the end of September?

When did you apply? what date?
I have seen a few messages asking about timings of the A&O emails so outlining mine below. I would not stress about timing - it seems they are making their way through. Best of luck to all.

20th Sept - Invitation to Online Assessment (must have submitted application the day or so before)
22nd Sept - Completed Online Assessment
28th Sept - 'Our Team is Now Reviewing Your Application' Email
9th Oct - AC Invite

Just got AC invite today! Any tips on what the written AC is comprised of or if anyone has a few minutes spare to have a chat, I'd be very grateful :)
Congratulations! Massive achievement!! In terms of general tips I would say to
  • know the firm inside and out: be very aware of the deals, clients, practice areas they excel at and specialise in, that will give you an advantage in case you have a written case study or something along those lines.
  • be confident of your ability: you managed to get an AC, this is massive and something that not everyone can say that they have achieved so be confident that you will pass the AC!
  • be curious: if you have interviews, make sure to prepare some questions at the end for the interviewers about their journeys at the firm, this is so important as lawyers love to talk about themselves but it would also give you a chance to see if you can see yourself at the firm and working with them.
  • for a written exercise, focus on precision and writing clear sentences and structured answers: this will be quintessential as it will show your attention to detail, your writing skills and your ability to be concise. As long as you are able to focus on these things whenever you are writing, I am sure you will be fine. And remember to be professional in every answer you give!
I hope these general tips help you, and congratulations again! @ambervlaw

I'm noticing a lot of people received the email "our team is now reviewing your application" at the end of September.

Did anyone receive this email in early October? I received mine on the 2nd and idk if that's a positive, negative, or simply random that mine was being reviewed at a later date, I applied when the scheme first opened for context.

I received mine in early October, but also submitted my application an hour or two before the deadline.

Maybe a pedantic question also - but will offers be extended at AC stage on a rolling basis? I originally intended to book mine for next week but had to enquire about time off with work. Now I've noticed since Monday those times are all taken and I have to apply for the following week. Hoping this won't affect my chances?

Has anyone else not received the "our team is now reviewing your application" email yet? I'm just starting to get a bit worried as people seem to be receiving AC invitations already and I still haven't received that email. Does not receiving the email mean you might not have passed the SJT maybe? Does anyone know/have prior experience?

Or anyone that didn't get the email but got an AC invite?

I can't imagine AC offers are rolling no. Nothing typically is after the application stage. Is the AC virtual? If they aren't in-person I'd assume even less so. Do you know how many slots they have available? As it looks like AC offers themselves are still being slowly rolled out.

From what I could see there was 2 slots a day from Tues/Weds/Thurs. Then the next week opened up - so I imagine they are rolling them out that way

Grad Rec said they should roll out by this/next week, after I asked during the legal cheek law fair.
Was that for AC invites? Or just for notifying all candidates the outcome of their application?

Unfortunately in my experience if you're waiting +5 days later than other people for an AC invite, you're most likely waiting on a PFO. Firms usually hold off on issuing PFOs incase any AC invites suddenly withdraw applications.

Certainly not always the case though!

Just received my rejection email a few minutes ago :( I just wish they'd give feedback so I'd know where to improve. Does anyone know if I can ask for my score on the interactive assessment?
I think there's no harm in ringing up/ emailing if you are truly curious. Although, I would assume that your feedback report gave you an idea right? At the top it said how we all performed in the verbal/ numerical sections. And, don't quote me, but I have heard that if you received an under review email - that meant you passed their SJT. Apparently quite a few people did not according to other threads and GCs.
