Initially I did an internship abroad for three months. When I got back to the UK I did doc review temp work via DA Solutions until the lockdown

wouldn’t expect to hear back for a while on winter schemes. It’s still very early for them. Interviews don’t typically happen until November.

I agree - I try to view it as experience I can use in my next interview. I think sometime it is easy to get consumed by the interview you have/just had and you view it as your 'one shot', but it isn't - there will be more interviews.

Bloody hell, that's quite the wait time! Didn't someone else say they'd had a rejection already?

I got rejected a while ago..but it is August and many people are on leave and there is a pandemic. I am working full time and believe me, I am not working as used to. I am mentally drained and it makes hard to be motivated..I am also waiting to hear back from 3 firms..it is a sxxx moment for everyone!

If you hear back late it might be that you’re being shortlisted further against other applicants. I was on their vac scheme and there were a group of us that got rejected early on whilst some others from the same scheme still yet to hear back. At least that’s the only explanation we’ve come up with!

If they want me to start in 2022, I would have to start the GDL this September but I am not in the position to self-fund my studies and I have not signed up for the course...

Do they do an accelerated LPC? If so, you could do a GDL starting in January and still have enough time before starting. I understand there might also be an accelerated GDL option too (so I have heard anyway).

Re Goodwin, not sure what the stage is for direct TC applicants but from LinkedIn I have seen that they have offered TCs to those that had a vac scheme with them.
