For the partner interview, generally its good to know a lot about PE and technical terms (e.g. leveraged finance, debt v equity). Also be prepared for it to be intense, but then and again it is Kirkland & Ellis. They asked me about my grades. Also be prepared to explain why Kirkland in comparison to other firms you have applied for. Main thing -> be honest, they can smell bs.
