    Certificates wouldn’t be expected for any work experience. The firm would seek references at some point from previous employers, usually once you have received an offer and would contact those organisations to verify your experience.

    Grad Rec know far too many people for this to be a shoo-in. I think you can impress graduate recruitment with interactions with them (this has happened with me, although still hasn’t led to a more favourable outcomes all the time) but knowing them means very little in all honesty.

    I'd suggest that creativity and innovation are quite different aspects to pursuing approaches that are risky. You can be creative/innovative and still be risk adverse in the way you test out/ensure quality in your outcomes.
