If you have 0 experience, you may want to look to build that up in different ways before applying for TCs.
For instance, you could look out for careers events or do online work experience programmes on the likes of Forage. I would recommend building up as much alternative experience outside of...
As I said, I don't think this is necessarily going to be an issue if everything else matches up and there is some kind of connection to why the name of the employer was incorrect (e.g. building name rather than company name).
I would give them a call this afternoon if you haven’t received anything just saying you wanted to check if anything was sent as you haven’t received anything and you know the deadline is tomorrow.
You don’t need to rush into the GDL - there will be courses starting in Jan/Feb if you wanted some time out to apply for winter schemes and the winter TC deadline window.
This could all be a moot point though, as there is a reasonable chance you convert your summer scheme.
Wait until the end of this week. It is only 1 working day after their deadline and there can be a whole host of reasons why something is delayed by a few days. I would only follow up the end of this week or early next, unless you need (rather than want) an update.
This can take time, so I wouldn't necessarily worry about this. If you are concerned, you can always email the recruitment team and ask what the timescales are likely to be for any formal paperwork so you can ensure you keep an eye out for it.
If the dates and job title match up, I doubt this will be an issue if the actual employer can verify your employment. It is often the case that people work for subcontracted companies which can make things confusing on occasion, so I don't think this would be a deal breaker.
Generally they will say you can’t bring materials into the case study as a matter of fairness to all candidates.
All the necessary information should be in the brief/case study itself, so you shouldn’t need any notes.
I’d wait until the end of this week (eg around the 15th) and then send them a brief but polite email asking if they can provide any details of estimated timelines you will hear back (rather than asking for an outcome).
Keep developing your candidacy/profile and take on any feedback that you are given for self improvement - whether that be through recruitment processes or just day to day life. Also try to continue to interact with the firm if they are running careers events.
You won’t have the opportunity to work for the firm before making the commitment to them for several years.
But apart from that, I don’t think there is a direct advantage/disadvantage in every case - this will vary from firm to firm and also from candidate to candidate.
No - whether or not you get an interview one cycle is not going to be a clear indicator to you getting or not getting an interview the next year/cycle.
