I'm sure you will be fine either way because you did the best you could- I once progressed in a VI where I finished my answer earlier than I anticipated and just kept staring at the camera for 10 seconds or so because I didn't know what else to say or how to end the VI 😅 There's always hope!
What do you think keeps CEOs up at night?
ngl I blanked here😅 came up with something eventually that somehow worked!
What made you choose the UK over your home country?
Difficult to answer without portraying your home country in a negative light.
How do you know you'll be able to balance...
@James Carrabino has given you a great answer for this and I am including some thoughts below to support you.
Organise your research- these grids by Law with Farah were life-changing because they helped me cut through the swathes of information I'd collected over months and months and...
I'm sorry that you didn't have the best experience with your VI. Maybe the point of the last question was to see how well you do under pressure/when you're shocked? Judging by what you've said, you must've come across pretty well.vIt's really commendable that you remained calm. At the end of the...
1) Yes
2) I doubt they'll give you more information than others in a group exercise. I'd simply acknowledge that you're missing XYZ information and what this information would help you determine and simply move on.
3) Sometimes these things aren't available in the early days of examining...
I understand what you mean- the application process is a taster of what lies ahead and being able to approach it with a balanced perspective really is crucial, especially re managing priorities and stress.
That being said, every person is different and approaches making applications differently...
@iolitelegal I've actively spent about one week/10 days on an app, with some more passive effort (attending events, networking) occurring over months. Everybody's speed and priorities are different and as long as you're able to submit them in time to a high standard, you're good.

I did this and it was wholly welcomed- feedback is important to understand what worked and what you can improve upon and most firms will understand that this is essential for personal growth. Go for it!
I used to work at a national Indian firm and although it routinely undertook multijurisdictional work, by no means was it an 'international' law firm. WIth this in mind, I'd say where both your clients and offices are situated determine whether you're an international law firm.
Do you think you have enough research to fill up your answers? Or if you can adapt your writing style to bring more depth to your answers?
The former was the case for me when I was struggling with word counts and going back to square one and researching more + reflecting further on my...
Trust your instinct with this as there is no wrong or right way to go about it. Worst case scenario, if the vac scheme doesn't happen, you can simply remove it.
First off- congratulations on securing all your ACs! This is a huge achievement on its own requiring absolutely no further qualification👏 👏 👏 👏
As for how you think you can improve on your performance in ACs- how do you generally prepare for ACs, and how do you feel going into one?
Somebody I...
Do you mind if I ask which country this was in? If it was a country like India, where foreign law firms are not allowed to operate independently, then no matter how strong your argument is it will fail at this stage.
If there weren't any jurisdictional/permission issues, then it's probably...
Some firms had recruitment brochures with great information on this- can think of Slaughter and May, Linklaters etc. This post here by Shearman & Sterling breaks things down brilliantly too.
You'll have to determine the depth of detail when you're in the interview. Look at the case study, observe the language that's been used and accordingly tailor your approach. You clearly know your stuff- you just have to trust your instinct and intuition and be aware of how your interviewers are...
